The Fikizolo Family Support Programme was started in July 2005. It is a joint project between the Centre for Social Development at Rhodes University and the ICDP Trust. They wish to give support to families at Fikizolo School, some of whom have to survive on a mere R185 per month. Their aim is to provide monthly food parcels to 20 families.
Kingswood College is actively involved in the project. Collections of food, clothes and blankets take place on a monthly basis. The collections are then distributed to the families by Thembakazi.
